This SOP provides structured guidance for doctors using the Etelmed Doctor Portal to manage appointments, schedules, asynchronous consults, telehealth benefits, payments, EMR documentation, calls, and office dispensing.
2. Scope
- View and manage appointments and daily schedule.
- Handle asynchronous consults and patient call queue actions.

4. Standard Procedures
4.1 View upcoming appointments
- Open Upcoming Appointments.
- Filter by patient, date, or appointment type.
- Review consultation time and appointment status.
4.2 Review payments
- Open My Payments.
- Review payment records and download data when needed.
4.3 Handle asynchronous consults
- Open Async from the navigation.
- Review pending patient consult messages.
- Respond and close consults according to clinical workflow.
4.4 Set schedule and availability
- Open Manage Availability.
- Select consultation days, slots, and slot duration.
- Save updates to refresh patient booking visibility.
4.5 Manage calls
- Open Manage Calls.
- Monitor live queue and waiting list.
- Join or initiate secure patient calls from the portal.
4.6 Manage office dispensing
- Open Office Dispensing.
- Search medicines and add required items to cart.
- Select patient and complete dispensing workflow.
4.7 Access and update EMR
- Open Manage EMR.
- Review relevant patient chart information.
- Update entries using approved documentation standards.
5. Best Practices
- Keep availability updated daily to prevent booking conflicts.
- Review appointments and async consults at fixed intervals.
- Maintain current license, contact, and payment details.
- Verify medicine availability before dispensing actions.
- Use only portal-approved channels for telehealth interactions.
6. Security and Compliance
- Only authorized doctors may access the Doctor Portal.
- Protect login credentials and always sign out after each session.
- Use patient and EMR data only for authorized clinical activity.

7. Doctor Visibility Requirement
For a doctor to appear in patient search results, the doctor profile must include all required visibility data.
