1. Purpose

This SOP provides step-by-step guidance for patients using the Etelmed Patient Portal to manage plans, appointments, wallet activity, and personal health records.

2. Scope

  • View and enroll in telehealth plans.
  • Manage appointments and monitor status.
  • View and update Personal Health Records (PHR).
  • Perform wallet actions and review transactions.
  • Maintain address and profile details.

3. Features and Functionalities

Dashboard Single navigation point for patient modules. Access Home, Appointments, Wallet, PHR, Benefits, Address, and Profile.
Telehealth Benefits Plan display with visit count, discounts, price, and tenure. Compare plans and complete enrollment.
Appointments Upcoming appointments and pending order indicators. Track consultation activity and status updates.
PHR Info Personal health card with demographics and profile image. Edit existing record or add new entries.
Address Saved address list with city, state, and ZIP details. Add, edit, and delete addresses.
Wallet Wallet balance, wallet ID, and transactional actions. Transfer/add/request money or request payment.
Profile Personal details, contact details, and password controls. Edit profile and update login credentials.

4. Standard Procedures

4.1 Select a telehealth plan

  1. Open Telehealth Benefits.
  2. Compare plan features, discounts, and tenure.
  3. Select Choose for the required plan.

4.2 Manage appointments

  1. Open My Appointments.
  2. Review scheduled and pending records.
  3. If no visit is scheduled, verify the “No Upcoming Appointment” status.

4.3 Manage PHR

  1. Open PHR Info.
  2. Select Edit to update existing data.
  3. Use Add for a new record entry.

4.4 Manage wallet actions

  1. Open Wallet and review balance and wallet ID.
  2. Choose action: transfer, add, request money, or request payment.
  3. Confirm final details before submission.

4.5 Update address and profile

  1. Open Address to add/edit/delete location details.
  2. Open Profile to edit personal details.
  3. Use Update Password to change login credentials.

5. Best Practices

  • Keep all patient profile and address information current.
  • Compare telehealth plans before final selection.
  • Check appointments and wallet status regularly.
  • Verify transaction outputs after wallet operations.
  • Sign out after every session, especially on shared devices.

6. Security and Compliance

  • Only authorized patients may access and edit their records.
  • Personal health information must remain confidential.
  • Perform all add/edit actions responsibly and accurately.
  • Follow applicable healthcare privacy and data-protection standards.
Use strong passwords and avoid sharing account credentials with anyone.

7. Doctor Visibility Requirement

To appear in patient search results, the doctor profile must include complete required information.
